Warden is a .htpasswd and .htaccess manager for Apache-based web servers. It applies password protection to any web folder or resource in three easy steps: Edit user accounts, Edit FTP information, and apply. Manage multiple web resources/folders and its associated access information with individual Warden project files. As a web user manager, the program allows you to suspend accounts in a single click, search accounts, and send individual or mass emails to your users. If you don\'t like making .htpasswd and .htaccess files the old fashioned way, try it the Fresh Software way!

Trial Period

Warden is copyrighted shareware, not freeware. You may use it free of charge for an evaluation period (\"trial period\") limited to fifteen (15) days only. After the trial, the program will disable itself. To continue use of the software, you must purchase a licensed registration code.

Purchased Licenses

When a license is purchased, it is valid for use on one computer. If you wish to use Warden on additional computers, you must purchase additional licenses (one for each computer). Special arrangements, made at the discretion of Fresh Software, may allow purchasing of licenses at a bulk rate or a multiple user license for an entire site. Licenses are non-transferable. Fresh Software reserves the right to revoke the license if the user violates its terms.

Redistribution

You may freely redistribute Warden in its ORIGINAL, packaged installer form -- that is, the trial version of the software. Redistribution or resale of registration codes or unlocked \"full\" copies of the software is strictly prohibited without the express written consent of Fresh Software. If you wish to put Warden on a compilation CD, you must contact the author.

Trial Period (Continued)

This software has a 15 day trial period, after which the software expires unless a valid registration key is entered. If you purchase a license for this software from Fresh Software or its authorized resellers, a registration key will be provided to you. The registration key allows you to unlock the software permanantely. This registration key will only be sent to you via email by Fresh Software. Any attempt to register this software, or unlock the software permanantely, by using an illegal or fraudulent registration key, either before or after the 15 day trial period expires, makes this software copy an illegal copy, and violates Fresh Software\'s copyright of this software. A legal copy of this software can be used for 15 days without entering a registration key. This allows you to to try out this software and allows you to decide whether you want to buy it. Before or after the 15-day trial period, if you decide that it\'s not something you want to have, simply remove it from your workstation. Purchase the software only if you are fully satisfied that it meets your needs.

Copyright Infringement

You agree not to infringe on Fresh Software\'s copyright of this software. Copyright violation could be in the form of a) violating license counts, which you have purchased or b) using illegally generated registration keys to unlock the software, without purchasing a valid license(s). You agree that any attempt to register this software, or unlock the software permanantely, by using an illegal or fraudulent registration key, either before or after the 15 day trial period expires, makes this software copy an illegal copy, and violates Fresh Software\'s copyright of this software. You agree to only use Regsitration keys provided to you by Fresh Software or an authorized reseller. You agree that Fresh Software, either directly or through its contracted copyright attorneys, will request a settlement fee, from you or your organization, for any willfull copyright infringement of our software. The Copyright infringement settlement fee requested will depend on: a) Processing Fees - This includes our contracted legal fees, as well as the costs involved with our piracy tracking, reporting and billing, for any infringement. This processing fee will depend on the amount of time and effort Fresh Software and its contracted copyright attorneys have spent to pursue the copyright infringement and/or b) Statutory damages based on copyright law.
