fURI is designed to make it quick and easy to find files and information stored on your own computer and out on different sources on the Internet. Given a few simple instructions, fURI can automatically gather together a complete list of all music, movie, picture, program or other files it finds on web pages or FTP servers. fURI can also search text documents and web pages for useful information when supplied with a set of key words to look for - either on the Internet, or your personal computer. You can stop and start running searches at any time, continuing the same search after a brief delay, or restarting a saved search at any point in the future. On search completion, fURI displays a customizable readout with Internet links to every file and information resource that its discovered. Using built-in tools its possible to change the visual formatting of the results page (and the mark-up language it’s presented in) in a single-click action. This makes sharing your search results straightforward and flexible, with the option to save them as a standard web page, XML document, or in one of five popular web forum languages. fURI can create a complete database schema, and populate it with values taken from the results of any search you perform. This could be used as the basis for a file or text search engine, and is easily configurable, supporting SQL instructions in Oracle and MySQL query language dialects. For web searches, fURI records a response code for each page it encounters, making it possible to track down common problems for website visitors. It can also be set to record other specific details, such as any email addresses it finds, or whether a particular page was ignored on the basis of robot.txt or meta-tag filters that you may have applied. You can set rules, such as a group of letters or numbers that every web page address should contain, begin, or end with, and store a list of any passwords that fURI should supply if it comes across protected web pages.

fURI End User License Agreement

This Agreement applies to the Evaluation Version of fURI.

Important: please read this Agreement carefully and in its entirety before installing, using or distributing this software.


1. DEFINITIONS

In this Agreement the following capitalized definitions are used, in singular and plural.

1.0. Agreement: this Limited Use Software License Agreement, as may be renewed, modified and/or amended from time to time.

1.1. Documentation: any online, electronic or otherwise enclosed documentation provided by Teign Valley Software.

1.2. Authorized Reseller: any corporation, company or other entity approved by Teign Valley Software for the sale of the Software Product.

1.3. Software Product: the \"fURI\" application distributed by Teign Valley Software which includes computer software and associated media and printed materials, and may include \"online\" or electronic Documentation, as well as any future programming fixes, updates and upgrades thereof.

1.4. You: you, the end user of the Software Product, also used in the form “Your” where applicable.

1.5. TVS: Teign Valley Software, the producer of, and copyright holder for, the Software Product.

1.6. Evaluation Version: the trial or \"shareware\" edition of the Software Product.

1.6.1. Evaluation Period: a duration of no fixed length, though limited in perpetuity by number of allowed uses.

1.7. Registered Version: the non-Evaluation, retail edition of the Software Product.

1.8. Serial Number: a registration code supplied by TVS or an Authorized Reseller, upon purchase, with which to \"activate\" a copy of the Software Product.

1.9. Licensed Copy: If You have paid a license fee to TVS or an Authorized Reseller, and received a valid Serial Number, You are deemed to have a single \"Licensed Copy\" of the Software Product, and are authorized to access all software features.


2. YOUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THIS AGREEMENT

This Agreement is a legal agreement between You, the end-user, and TVS for the use of the Software Product. By using the Software Product or storing the Software Product on a computer hard drive (or other media), You are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
If You do not agree to the terms of this Agreement then do not copy, install, or distribute the Software Product.


3. SOFTWARE PRODUCT LICENSE

The Software Product is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. The Software Product is licensed, not sold.


4. GRANT OF LICENSE

This is not free software. Subject to the terms below, You are hereby licensed by TVS to use, without charge, and for evaluation purposes only, the Software Product on an unlimited number of computers or workstations provided that You are the sole user of the Software Product on each computer or workstation. There is no time limit for this Evaluation Period, but the Software Product will expire (cease to function) after thirty (30) uses. If You want to use the Software Product beyond the Evaluation Period, You must acquire from TVS or an Authorized Reseller, for a fee, a license for the Software Product. Refer to www.TeignValleySoftware.com for information about license pricing and ordering options. Use of the Software Product after the Expiration Period without acquiring such a license from TVS or an Authorized Reseller is outside the scope of this License and a violation of U.K. and international copyright laws.


5. DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS

Subject to all of the terms of this Agreement, You may, without making any payment to TVS:

* Give exact copies of the Software Product personally and without charge of any kind to anyone for evaluation purposes only, subject to the terms of this License, using tangible media of any kind or via e-mail (but not in a bulk mailing or through unsolicited bulk e-mails);
* Distribute exact copies of the Software Product for evaluation purposes only, subject to the terms of this License, if done exclusively by allowing downloads through the public Internet and without charge of any kind; and
* Make as many exact copies of the Software Product as You wish, for purposes of distribution as described in (1) and (2) above.

For purposes of the foregoing, an \"exact copy\" of the Software Product means a file that is identical, at the time You create the copy, to the Software Product distribution file available at http://www.TeignValleySoftware.com.

You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting donations, for any distributed copies, however made, or from distributing such copies with other products of any kind, commercial or otherwise, without prior written permission from TVS. Also, You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting donations, for providing access to any hyperlink or other method that allows a user to create or transfer electronically copies of the Software Product.

You will not undertake, cause, permit or authorize the modification, creation of derivative works, translation, reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling of the Software Product or any part thereof.

The Software Product is licensed as a single product. Its component parts may not be separated for use on more than one computer.

You may not rent, lease, loan, or sublicense the Software Product.

Without prejudice to any other rights, TVS may terminate this Agreement if You fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this Agreement. In such event, You must destroy all copies of the Software Product and all of its component parts.


6. COPYRIGHT

All titles and copyrights in and to the Software Product (including but not limited to any images, photographs, animations, video, audio, music, text, and \"applets,\" incorporated into the Software Product), and any accompanying printed materials, are owned by TVS or its suppliers. The Software Product is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, You must treat the Software Product like any other copyrighted material.


7. MISCELLANEOUS

If You acquired this product in the United Kingdom, this EULA is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. If this product was acquired outside of the United Kingdom, then local law may apply. 8. NO WARRANTIES

TVS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY for the Software Product. The Software Product and any related documentation is provided \"as is\" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied warranties or merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. The entire risk arising out of use or performance of the Software Product remains with You.


9. NO LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES

In no event shall TVS or its suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Software Product, EVEN IF TVS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.


10. REPRESENTATIONS

You represent and warrant that You are authorized to enter into this Agreement and comply with its terms. Furthermore, You represent and warrant that You will at any and all times meet with Your obligations hereunder, as well as any and all laws, regulations and policies that may apply to the use of the Software Product.


11. TERMINATION

Immediately upon expiration of the 30-uses Evaluation Period for the license granted hereunder, You shall immediately discontinue any and all use of the Software Product and You shall within ten (10) days delete from Your computer(s) all electronic copies of the Software Product, including all or any part thereof. All provisions of this License that by their nature are intended to survive the expiration of the license granted hereunder shall survive and remain in full force and effect.


12. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold TVS and affiliates harmless from and against any and all liability and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees incurred by said parties, in connection with or arising out of Your (a) violation or breach of any term of this Agreement or any applicable law or regulation, whether or not referenced herein, or (b) violation of any rights of any third party, or (c) use or misuse of the Software Product.
